      5. Audio and video conferences<\/h2>

      Data processing<\/h3>

      To communicate with our customers, we use, among other things, online conferencing tools. The specific tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and by the provider of the respective conferencing tool.<\/p>

      The conferencing tools collect all data that you provide\/use to use the tools (email address and\/or your phone number). Furthermore, the conferencing tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants and other \u201ccontext information\u201d in connection with the communication process (metadata).<\/p>

      In addition, the tool provider processes all technical data required to handle online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.<\/p>

      If content is exchanged, uploaded or otherwise provided within the tool, this content is also stored on the tool providers\u2019 servers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat\/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information shared while using the service. <\/p>

      Please note that we do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options depend largely on the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conferencing tools can be found in the privacy policies of the tools used, which we have listed below this text.<\/p>

      Purpose and legal bases<\/h3>

      The conferencing tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to provide certain services to our customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us and\/or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If consent has been requested, the relevant tools are used on the basis of this consent; consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.<\/p>

      Storage period<\/h3>

      The data collected directly by us via the video and conferencing tools is deleted from our systems as soon as you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.<\/p>

      6. Our own services<\/h2>

      6.1 Handling of applicant data<\/h3>

      We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email or by post). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected from you as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated strictly confidentially.<\/p>

      Scope and purpose of data collection<\/h4>

      If you submit an application to us, we process the personal data associated with it (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and\u2014if you have given consent\u2014Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is only passed on to persons involved in processing your application.<\/p>

      If the application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.<\/p>

      As part of the application process, we may also conduct online research about you. This primarily includes Google searches, LinkedIn and Xing. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest in obtaining an overall impression of publicly available information about you pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.<\/p>

      Retention period of the data<\/h4>

      If we are unable to offer you a position, if you decline a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have provided on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months after the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). After that, the data will be deleted and physical application documents will be destroyed. Retention serves, in particular, evidentiary purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for further retention no longer applies.<\/p>

      Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.<\/p>
